Okay… Before you run away screaming, just hear me out. Everyone loves a hot cup of coffee or caffeinated tea and that is exactly the problem here.

There is a lot we are not told about caffeine’s effects on the body on purpose. There is a lot of scientific data hanging around out there on the internet, in the media, even at education facilities worldwide. You might be saying, “Yeah I know that dipshit! Where is this going?” Well… It’s leading toward a little known fact, that peer reviewed papers, studies and surveys, 99% of them are paid for. Who is paying for them? Those who stand to gain by selling you a product.

All of the evidence saying that caffeine in any form is good for you has all been compiled by people on payroll – many of them know what they are doing and many of them are just unaware that they are a part of a machine.

Consumption of Caffeine causes the neurons of the brain to fire very rapidly. This creates a chemical response in the pituitary gland and the result of this is a chemical called ACTH – Adrenocorticotrophic hormone. ACTH is what tells the adrenal glands to produce stress hormones. This response begins to wreak absolute havoc on both the adrenal glands and the nervous system and it activates the limbic system which pushes you in to fight or flight mode. This means that the daily consumption of caffeine results in a whole lot of us being in emergency stress mode. When the body is in stress mode the subconscious mind takes over because it can process more information and will cause you to run the programs of survival – which means that your thinking processes and all of your behavior gets hijacked by a powerful force that you do not have any conscious control over. The reason I say that is because the subconscious mind is responsible for 99% of your daily thinking and activities and the results you get in your life are as a result of how your subconscious is programmed to behave – we are only consciously aware of all the cognitive activity and all that we are actually doing – thank God right? Because it sure seems like we think A LOT!

As if having to process as much as 100,000 thoughts a day was not difficult enough add a little caffeine to that in any form and now your brain’s ability to solve problems becomes affected negatively and everything becomes a tremendous challenge. Caffeine raises cortisol levels for at least 18 to 20 hours so by the time you have de-stressed from the cocktail of hormones surging through your body, there is a good chance that you are already on to your next ‘good to the last drop’ ‘best part of waking up’ cup of coffee, tea, chocolate, energy drink or energy bar.

Caffeine destroys your mental health! According to research by the Journal of clinical Psychiatry a whopping 90% of patients with depression also consume coffee. Feelings of depression are often the cause behind people choosing to caffeinate in the first place and that’s not hard to believe with a Starbucks or Tim Horton’s or your favorite Cafe on every corner. Many people that are locked in to a cycle of depression or anxiety or some other medical label are being used and abused by the system in the worst way. They are given diagnoses based on certain symptoms and the majority of those symptoms are side effects of some other medication or caffeine consumption. Caffeine isn’t just found in coffee, tea or your a Monster Energy or whatever is the popular energy drink brand these days. Caffeine is often a hidden ingredient in plenty of foods that we consume and believe me when I say that there are too many to mention. We also know that caffeine is found in sodas all over the world. Its highly recommended that even if you don’t drink coffee or tea, or eat chocolate and you still feel irritable, depressed, anxious or fatigued that you take an inventory of the things you consume because there is a chance that caffeine is buried in those items. A study by the British Journal of Clinical Psychology which shows that people who suffer with anxiety tend to consume more caffeine than the general population and symptoms of anxiety decreased by 42% after reducing caffeine. Those who removed caffeine altogether got better. Caffeine is a major factor in heart disease as well as thyroiditis and other severe conditions and 1000s of people die each day from it.

Still Don’t Believe Me? Here is plenty of evidence.
